MOVIE: 22 Jump Street

CLAYTON–After graduating high school for the second time in 21 Jump Street – but going to bust some teenage drug dealers – Officer Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) are brought back into the game in this hilarious comedy. They are told that they have to enroll undercover at a college, but instead of going back to 21 Jump Street, they are told to go across the street to 22 Jump Street.
Excitement rages in the two undercover cops when they go to the college. As they begin to explore the college days, they both find themselves in another difficult challenge. Jenko seeks membership on the football team, and Schmidt joins the bohemian art club. By doing this, they begin to grow apart, questioning their friendship and partnership. At the break of splitting and uncovering the drug dealers, will they go their separate ways? Or will they overcome their obstacles and still be a team?
I’m so very excited to see this movie for two reasons: one being that these are some awesome actors, and second because the first one was so great, that it is sure to make everyone jump out of their seats due to laughter. Just watching the preview of the movie gets me laughing, but one negative is that the great team, Schmidt and Jenko, may end because they’re not seeing eye-to-eye. I hope that they stay friends and overcome their obstacle so they can give us some more laughter with more movies!
22 Jump Street is directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller. The screenplay is by Oren Uziel and Rodney Rothman, and the story is by Michael Bacall and Jonah Hill. This film is produced by Neal H. Moritz, Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum; and the Executive Producers are Stephen J. Cannel, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Brian Bell, Reid Carolin, Tania Landau. Ice Cube is cast alongside Hill and Tatum, playing the part of Captain Dickson. The MPAA Rating is currently not available .
