Fastest Cars In America

Top Ten Fastest Cars in America:

2011 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1:
The Corvette ZR1 engine is a heavily modified version of the LS3, the LS9. Producing 638 hp (476 kW, 647 hp) and 604 ft · lbf (819 N × m) of torque, it is the most powerful production Corvette to date. The LS9 has a sixth-generation Eaton TVS R2300 roots 4-lobe supercharger with intercooler Behr, using an air-water, dual-brick design. The supercharged four-lobe design offers improved efficiency over three lobe models. To prevent changes to the hood appearance, the supercharger output to split into two halves. Each cylinder bank has an intercooler.
The Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1 is a high performance version of the Chevrolet Corvette C6. Both the C3 and C4 Corvettes from 1969 to 1971 from 1990 to 1995 were ZR-1 models. However, the C6 variant officially labeled the "ZR1" while earlier versions had a hyphen between the ZR and 1, as in "ZR-1".

2005 Ford GT:
This is a bit of a cheat, because the Ford GT is not yet in production for five years. It is included because Ford has chosen the go-fast sweepstakes by limiting its cars with a maximum speed of 155 mph.
The production run of 4038 GT ended in September 2006 with buyers paying $ 149,995 each. The GT is similar in appearance to the original GT40, winner of the 24 hours of Le Mans four times in a row in the 1960s. That guarantees it will be cop bait.

2010 Dodge Viper SRT10:
The 2010 Dodge Viper SRT10 is one of the first V10 powered cars in the world, made by the Dodge division of Chrysler. Production of the two-seat sports car began at New Mack Assembly in 1991 and moved to its current home at Conner Avenue Assembly in October 1995. The car, and many variations, many appearances on TV shows, video games, movies and music videos. Although viewed Chrysler end production due to financial difficulties, chief executive Sergio Marchionne announced and shown on September 14, 2010 redesign of the Viper for 2012.

2012 Cadillac CTS-V:
The Cadillac CTS-V is a rarity in the supercar ranks for two reasons: Cadillac boasts about its top speed in TV commercials, and you might want to own. Cadillac's line of high-performance V-Series models are available in three flavors - sedan, coupe and sport wagon - someone you could use the children in school or the supermarket. All three have the same base price - $ 63,600 - but my favorite for looks and utility is the Sportwagon. Just to prove that the CTS can go around corners, GM was one of the famous Nurburgring in Germany and a record for a production sedan on factory tires.

2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392:
The 2009 SRT8, while still equipped with the 6.1l (370 cu in) Hemi V8, is almost identical to the 2008 counterpart, the main difference is the choice of a 5-speed automatic or 6-speed gearbox. Standard features include Brembo brakes, a sport suspension, bi-xenon headlamps, heated leather sport seats, keyless go, Sirius satellite radio, and 20-inch (510 mm) forged aluminum wheels in addition to most services offered on the R / T and SE models such as air conditioning and cruise control. [27] Moreover, the 2009 was a truly "limited slip" differential. [29] A "Spring Special" Challenger SRT8 in B5 Blue was also offered, but due to rolling plant shutdowns were over 250 Spring Special Challengers built for the end of the 2009 model year. For 2010, Detonator Yellow SRT8 models added as an available (surcharge), and only with the optional "Special Edition Group". Yellow Challengers were built only for a limited time (October / December 2009) in the 2010 model year. Another retro colors, Plum Crazy Purple, was also available during the spring 2010 production, exclusive to the "Spring Special" package. Furious Fuchsia, similar to the 70 Pink Panther, was limited to one day production in Brampton, Ontario plant. Furious Fuschsia Challengers, in contrast to earlier limited edition Challenger also features a custom interior with white chairs and black rims.

2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8:
A fast SUV, if not an oxymoron, the Jeep Grand Cherokee is paused until it returns this fall for the 2012 model year with the new Hemi. At 4.8 seconds to 60 miles per hour, calls it the fastest Jeep Grand Cherokee, although our data is 0.3 seconds slower. Fuel consumption improvement is undeniable: Jeep claims the new SRT8 gets 13% more efficient than its predecessor. That is setting a low bar: The 2010 model was rated at 12 mpg city / 16 mpg. highway. With that kind of mileage, Chrysler will not sell a lot of new countries in Europe, even with help from Fiat. MSRP was $ 44,105 last year.

2012 Shelby GT500:
Base:

  •     5.4L V8 engine
  • Manual transmission
  • Up to 15 cty/23 hwy mpg
  • Bluetooth
  • iPod input
  • Satellite radio
  • Side/Curtain Airbags
  • Stability Control
  • Traction Control
  • Navigation System (Optional)
  • DVD player (Optional)
The 2012 Ford Shelby GT500 injects blood-pumping performance and retro styling in a package that's easy to live with every day. Among the muscle cars, it is the highest power dog.Incredible, inspiring sound engine, aggressive styling compared exclusivity.Harsh optional suspension, impressive interior, no telescopic steering wheel.

Ford Taurus SHO/Lincoln MKS EcoBoost:
The sensible footwear category are both mechanically similar sedans: the Ford Taurus SHO and the Lincoln MKS EcoBoost. Instead of thirsty V-8s, both are powered by twin-turbo V-6s, part of Eco Boost Ford family.
As the figures show, they offer perfect performance and a more than adequate fuel. Both cars are assessed at 17 mpg city/25 mpg highway.
The 2011 Taurus starts at $ 38,155, the 2011 Lincoln at $ 41,500.

Tesla Roadster:
The Tesla Roadster is a battery electric vehicle (BEV), sports car produced by electric car firm Tesla Motors in California. The Roadster was the first road-capable all electric car in mass production available in the United States. Since 2008 Tesla Roadsters have been sold in 30 countries, 1650 and March 2011. [3] [4] Tesla began producing right-hand Roadsters in early 2010 for the British Isles, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore.Tesla stopped taking orders for the Roadster in August 2011.

SSC Ultimate Aero:
The SSC Ultimate Aero is an American-built mid-engine supercar by Shelby Supercars. The higher performance limited production version previously held the Guinness Book of World Records record for the fastest production car in the world (followed by the 2010 Bugatti Veyron Super Sport), with a recorded speed of 412.29 kmh (256.19 mph). This rate was achieved during tests on 13 September 2007 West Richland, Washington, United States and verified by Guinness World Records on October 9, 2007.This rate does not match full potential of the SSC Ultimate Aero TT's. SSC estimates that the newer, more powerful and lighter weight Ultimate Aero TT 2009 is capable of a top speed of over 300 mph (480 km / h). The SSC Ultimate Aero is no electronic aids such as ABS brakes and traction control, because (to quote Jerod Shelby), "Early design philosophy of the car was a driver's car. I wanted a car that not only smothered with your right foot on times you could send with your right foot. ".
